Here are easy ways to keep Halloween safe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kids need a grown-up with them when they trick-or-treat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Put shiny tape on costumes and bags so cars can see kids<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only go to houses with lights on \u00ad\u2014 never go inside anyone\u2019s house or car<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stay with friends and come home on time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Watch Out for Food That Can Make Kids Sick<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some kids get very sick from certain foods. Many Halloween candies have nuts, milk, eggs or wheat. These can hurt kids who have food allergies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your child gets sick from some foods, make them wait until they get home to eat candy. First check each piece <strong>before<\/strong> they eat it. Even candy that is usually safe might have different ingredients in \u201cfun size\u201d versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> If your child has bad food allergies, they need to carry their medicine with them all the time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Halloween is fun, but we want kids to be safe too.
